The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, through its panel of doctors, has requested the Punjab government conduct a medical examination of Bushra Bibi, wife of founder chairman PTI Imran Khan.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister has contacted the Punjab government, expressing concern over the news circulating in the media regarding Bushra Bibi’s health.
In this regard, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah wrote a letter to Chief Secretary Punjab on Wednesday.
In the letter, the provincial health minister expressed his concern over the news about Bushra Bibi being allegedly fed poisoned food.
The provincial health minister says that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government wants to conduct a medical examination of Bushra Bibi through its panel of doctors.
A panel comprising doctors will conduct a detailed examination of Bushra Bibi to confirm or deny the supply of poisoned food.
Syed Qasim Ali Shah added in the letter that ‘access to medical examination and health services is a fundamental constitutional right of every human being.’
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister expressed the hope that the Punjab government would respond positively to this letter.
