According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, a new series of rains has started due to western winds entering the country.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rains to continue in the upper and central parts of the country until March 31.
On Wednesday, there were rains in more than 15 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Pashin, Mastung, and Kalat, due to which the cold has returned to the upper regions.
According to farmers, wheat, peach, apple, apricot, and cherry orchards and crops will benefit from the rains.
According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, strong winds and thundershowers rained at a few places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
The highest rainfall was recorded in Para Chinar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 11 mm and Bannu with 8 mm, while Leh, Islamabad recorded 4 mm and Rawalpindi with 3 mm.
After heavy rain in Quetta, due to the poor drainage system, water accumulated on the roads.
Traffic flow was affected due to the accumulation of water on Zarghun Road, Jinnah Road, Sariab Road, Karani Road, Hazara Town, Burori Road, Arbab Karam Khan Road, Satellite Town, and other highways.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that rains will continue in most areas of Balochistan on Thursday and in a few places on Friday.
Meanwhile, the weather is expected to remain dry, and dusty winds will prevail in the southern districts of the province, including Gwadar and Kech.
According to the Meteorological Department, this weather system of westerly winds will cover Balochistan as well as the upper and central parts of the country on Thursday, and as a result, rains may continue till March 31.
