Regarding the Achison College problem, Governor Punjab received a letter from Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema.
In a letter to Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman on Tuesday, Ahad Cheema stated that while he supports the policy’s execution, he does not want his children to gain from the new one.
Recall that Michael Thompson, the principal of Aitchison College, resigned from his role on Monday, citing meddling in the college’s internal operations.
The principal of the college disagreed with the decision that the governor of Punjab had given about the waiver of fees for the children of Federal Minister Ahad Cheema.
“The new policy of not charging fees during children’s leave (absence) is entirely correct, transparent, and against the elitist mindset,” Ahad Cheema stated in his letter.
According to Ahad Cheema, my wife battled for this cause for a year and a half. “I would also like it to be documented that the college principal has made several approaches to me through various authorities to help me to the extent of my caste.” But I declined any covert arrangement.
The federal minister wrote to the governor of Punjab, stating that the college’s principal, who resigned in response to an order from your office, had needlessly pressed this issue.
The principal’s rejection of the board’s and the chairman’s policy decisions went unnoticed throughout the duration of this controversy. On your policy, there was needless political point-scoring.
“Just because I am a public figure, my wife was the target of a slander campaign.”
“It is not my intention to exploit my kids under the new policy, but I have to suggest that you should stick with this policy and ignore the bad campaign and pressure,” stated Ahad Cheema.
He declared, “Students and their parents will find this policy to be very helpful in the future.”
